Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAULA ELISABETH KOHL Peacefully, on October 31, 2003, with her family by her side, our dear mother and grandmother, Paula Elisabeth Kohl passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. Left to remember Paula are her children, Christa (Georg) Steinborn, Irmgard Kohl and Karl-Heinz (Nora) Kohl; her grandchildren, Tamara (Nathan) Steinborn, Michael (Erin) Steinborn, Kerstin (Roman) Heinrich, Sabine (Peter) Schwalbe and Markus (Birgit) Kohl; and three great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her special extended family, Inge (Berndhard) Reschke and Jutta (Erwin, Oliver) Kreber. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Anton, in 1957, and her cherished children, Gertrude, in 1938, and Rolf-Peter, in 1995. Having celebrated her 92nd birthday this April, Paula was blessed with a sharp mind and lived a full and independent life. She will always be remembered as having been a beautiful woman, gracious and dignified in all things. Born in the beautiful Rhine region of Bendorf, Germany in 1911, she then spent her married life in Urbar/Koblenz and eventually immigrated to Canada with her youngest daughter, Christa. Although she returned to Germany regularly, Winnipeg became her second home as she developed many loving friendships within its community. While she will be remembered and loved by many, Paula will be especially missed by her daughter Christa who cared for her with devotion and strength throughout the years. Their loving relationship will be remembered by us all as a beautiful example of the bond which exists between mother and daughter. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors at St. Boniface for their care and kindness. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, November 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 6 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews St. with Rev. Fr. Diosdado Parrenas officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Oma, we will miss you and will always keep your cherished memory close to our hearts.
